Minnesota Board of Water and Soil Resources Conservation Corps repaired over 600-feet of riverbank at Stearns County’s Mississippi River County Park. Also with the assistance of the West Central Technical Service Area in designing the project and the Stearns County Soil and Water Conservation District helped oversee the project at the county park. Erosion created a potential hazard. Now park-goers have safer areas to fish off shore and launch their boats. Another plus… there should be more fish and wildlife in the area. What a huge win for Stearns County!
The Conservation Corps document provides a detailed report of the project.
